Hi Barbara, how
are you and what have you been up to this last month?

I am buzzing and
sometimes smoke is coming out of my head!!! Not sure if this is
good or bad, but I'm happy !!!!Last month???? I have done a lot
of USA Internet Radio interviews….some at very strange times,
like in the morning 3 am….. but it was fun ! Apart from that, a
lot of music to prepare for my two projects for 2008 "schenkerssister"
and "VIVA" !

You grew up in a
very musical environment, having brothers who play guitar and
yourself learning the keyboard etc. What comes to mind when you
think back to those early years?

|
What comes to my
mind is, that now is much better, than then!! Now I can do what
I want, then I had to remain home alone very often, because my
parents supported my 2 brothers at their gigs and I was ,"so
they say " –too young---" ...I hated that !!!!
Playing
keyboards in the beginning was just a bit of messing around with
those black and white keys really !!!! When I told my
Dad---yes!! I told him !!! "buy me a bigger keyboard!!!!-----He
did not want to at first…..he thought I was just there to make
babies! It became more serious from then on and I started my
first band.

You were voted
Best National Keyboarder in Metal Hammer in 1984. Do you think
we are seeing a return of keyboards to rock bands?

|
Not
really…..Keyboards will always be an element in Rock more or
less, even if just used for a ballad or an intro ! But you
cannot replace the guitar, that's why I play both now > Guitar
ACDC dynamic/ keyboards for the atmosphere !!!

What would be a
typical day in your life?

|
That's a bit
personal !!! hahahaha …….waking up, after switching off about
4/5 alarms in the last 2 hours, returning straight to bed each
time. It repeats every morning !!!...then coffee and I start.
Got lists everywhere of what to do. This gets mixed in with
practicing keyboards, guitar and recording. Manage to go to bed
about 4/5/6…… 5am in the morning is the regular one….don't ask me
how I do that…..I don't know !!!!!

When you next
enter the studio, do you think you will approach the next album
in a different way to some of the albums you have recorded in
the past?

Difficult
question !!!....I guess, it will be different !!! Do you know
what ??? I will tell you afterwards !!!!! Then I don't have to
guess !!! hahahaha….

Do you think people are getting back to more melodically
interesting music?

|
Why back ??? I
think it is in full swing. I have recently been to an Arch Enemy
Show !! Michael Amott, one of the guitar brothers put me on
the guest list…..they are full of guitar melodies!! It's only
when the singing ?? starts, the whole front changes into
"strange" free of melody stuff…..but the melodies are there…just
hidden !!

Do you listen to
any of the newer hard rock/metal bands? If so who?

Just mentioned
one !!! Internet introduces me to "new + heavy" here and
there….I am open to allsorts. I might even pick up some
influences !!!!---Not steal---!!!! Ha….!!!

What would you
say satisfies you most as a musician?
|
|
A
|
Music is Therapy
for the heart. Consumer or Maker….both!!!! When I wrote the
song " Just Me ", I was in a very sad mood….all sorts of
emotions were messing my head up. I escaped into
music and out came " JUST ME " !!!

What would you tell young players about getting into the music
biz?

Know the right
people or just never give up !!!!

What's next in your diary?

Rehearsal with
VIVA next week…..writing for schenkerssister and making
decisions for 2008.

Is there anything that you'd like to add or that you want people
to know about?

Yes…..my real
life started since MYSPACE ! Everything else was just a
rehearsal!!!

And lastly, what
is it about London that attracted you to live there rather than
anywhere else?

Falling in Love
got me here to London!!! I was dreaming about it already before
hand—A Dream that came true---London is buzzing, like
me!!!!......yeahhh we reached full circle!!!
