Strain at Bolton Metal Massacre 8th April 2007
Strain I would say are Bolton’s main treasure band.
With grooves and awesome guitar shredding provided by Maz and Al combining in the guitar family with Bill’s BLS style bassin’ and Sandy’s total metal drumming Strain provides all your thrash needs. Not leaving out vocalist PC who’s got some crackin’ pipes on the man. They have told me that their main influences have come from Pantera, CoC and Black Sabbath. I think, with their extensive gigging and touring schedule, and the exposure they are now receiving, Strain will be HUGE – soon!!
The stand-out tracks on their new album for me are ‘Bad Day’, T.I.O.T and also ‘April’ for which they have recorded a video.
